Message of Tribute from the Romford Conservative Association, following the passing away of
The Rt. Hon. Baroness Thatcher of Kesteven L.G. O.M. P.C. F.R.S.
“The Romford Conservative Association are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Baroness Thatcher and would like to offer our heart-felt condolences to her family and most especially to her children, Sir Mark Thatcher and Carol Thatcher.
We have been particularly fortunate to have had the honour of welcoming Baroness Thatcher on her two visits to our town of Romford in 2001 when she campaigned to help Andrew Rosindell win his first election as our Member of Parliament and again in 2005 when she re-opened our Conservative Headquarters in Western Road , now named “Margaret Thatcher House”.
Baroness Thatcher was a great leader for our nation and rescued Great Britain in her hour of need. Her commitment and conviction to British ideals were an example for all to follow.
She taught us that hard work and courage were the way to succeed in life and that one person can make a real difference.
While she may not be with us anymore, her legacy will not be forgotten and her ideals are the benchmark against which we should all measure ourselves.
In honour of Baroness Thatcher, a book of condolence has been opened at our headquarters “Margaret Thatcher House,” 85 Western Road, ROMFORD, Essex, RM1 3LS, for those who would like to make a tribute. If you would like to record your condolences, please contact me directly on 07904 891392 or 01708 761583.”
Cllr. Osman Dervish
Chairman, Romford Conservative Association
