Association Chairman, Cllr. Osman Dervish, Deputy Chairman, Cllr Damian White, Press Officer, Cllr Jason Frost and Local Government Committee Chair Miss Judith Holt were delighted to attend the Constitutional Monarchy Association's Afternoon Tea celebration in honour of the first birthday of HRH Prince George of Cambridge.
The party was held in the very majestic surroundings of London's East India Club and was addressed by our very own Andrew Rosindell MP, Patron of the Constitutional Monarchy Association.
Reminding the assembled audience of the continued relevence and importance of the monarchy for Britain in providing a bulwark against both tyranny and instability, Andrew also spoke of his immense pride in being part of a huge international family of nations which share not only HM Queen Elizabeth II as Head of State, but also the English language, the Westminster system of government and respect for the rule of law; namely, the Commonwealth.
Such a sentiment was well recieved all round.
Following some very tasty sandwiches and far too many scones, the afternoon was concluded with a glass of champagne and the Loyal Toast.
