On Saturday 10th September, Conservative Councillors from across Romford were out and about in the Mawney Road area listening to local people's concerns and opinions.
Leading a door-knocking team, local Councillor Robert Benham was interested to hear that residents had faith in the Conservatives who run Havering Council; they felt that they are doing the right thing by freezing Council Tax whilst giving the green-light to plans for a swimming pool and leisure centre in the heart of Romford.
Interestingly enough, residents felt that the Conservatives had managed the Council financies very well to notice that there have been no savage cuts to our libraries, parks and other front line services whereas Labour-controlled Councils across London have adopted a slash and burn policy towards its services.
If you have any issues, concerns or have a question, please do not hesitate to contact your local Councillors.
