On Friday, 23rd November, Andrew Rosindell M.P., Member of Parliament for Romford, joined Manager Kim Babbington and the team for the re-opening of the St Francis Hospice charity shop in North Street.
Andrew was joined by Kim and the St Francis Hospice Mascot, Frankie the Lion, to cut the ribbon marking the re-opening of the shop.
Andrew said:
“I congratulate Kim and the team, including Kim, Alex, Shaun, Vivienne, Karen, Doreen, and Margaret for all their hard work in bringing this project to fruition.
“Over 2011-12 the charity shops have donated in excess of £400,000 to support the hospice.
“The shops are an essential source of revenue for the hospice, which relies predominantly on donations and private income, to continue to provide the high quality treatment, care, and help to thousands of people every year.”
The shop at 10 North Street, Romford, is open Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Donations of clothing, DVDs, good quality toys, and bric-a-brac are welcome, and more information on the charity shops is available at http://www.sfh.org.uk/how-you-can-help/charity-shops/
